Aggressive Goals Set For E-Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) Campaign
As part of its statewide E-Prescribing initiative, Arizona Health-e Connection has launched a campaign to increase the awareness and use of e-prescribing of controlled substances or EPCS. The following goals have been set for the campaign that will run through December 2013:
- Increase the number of Arizona EPCS certified physicians from 88 to 215
- Increase the number of EPCS transactions per month from 3,432 to 7,500
- Increase the number of Arizona Pharmacies EPCS enabled from 407 to 450
In order to educate providers and pharmacies on the benefits of EPCS and encourage adoption, AzHeC is offering no-cost webinars and in-person forums in the next few weeks! A Provider Incentive Program has also been set up to reimburse those who have completed their identity proofing for EPCS certification. Register and find out more below.
