The Healthcare Administrative Technology Association (HATA), announced it will hold its Spring National Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 5 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm EDT at NextGen Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. The day-long event will bring together industry stakeholders for a series of high-level sessions focused on industry impacting topics including an understanding of blockchain and how it might affect healthcare; the 21st Century Cures Act and the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018’s impacts to revenue cycle vendors and providers; as well as the lack of interoperability between providers’ administrative (PMS) and clinical (EHR) systems which is bringing about a host of attachment challenges.
“As healthcare information technology leaders, it is critical to have an understanding of the impacts of new technologies, regulations and other administrative challenges – such as interoperability and prior authorization – which are influencing our ever-evolving healthcare landscape,” said Tim McMullen, JD, CAE, executive director of HATA. “Our National Meeting will provide the setting for a broad range of stakeholders to participate in open and focused discussions on these important and timely issues.”
In addition to networking opportunities and updates on association focused strategic initiatives, attendees will hear firsthand from industry leaders through a series of discussions and presentations offering best practices and case studies, including:
- Blockchain Impacts to the Business of Healthcare – Tony Little, ND, senior director, Integration Strategy, Optum360
