Blondes has more than 25 years of management experience in the nonprofit healthcare industry.

Henry Ford Health System Welcomes New President And CEO
Henry Ford Health System (@HenryFordNews), one of the nation’s leading comprehensive, integrated health systems, begins 2017 with a new president and CEO. Wright Lassiter, III, who served as system president since December 2014, assumed the role of president and CEO of the $5.5 billion health system on Jan. 1. Lassiter succeeds Nancy Schlichting, who retired at the end of 2016.

McKesson Completes Acquisition of Rexall Health and Appoints Domenic Pilla as CEO of McKesson Canada
McKesson (@McKesson) announced that Domenic Pilla has been appointed CEO of McKesson Canada, effective January 3, 2017. Pilla will report to Paul C. Julian, executive vice president and group president, McKesson Corporation, and assume overall leadership responsibility for McKesson’s distribution and retail businesses in Canada, including Rexall Health. Jürgen Schreiber, currently CEO of Rexall Health, will leave to pursue other opportunities.

Global health expert joins Orion Health Board of Directors
Orion Health (@OrionHealth) announced the appointment of Dr John Halamka as an independent director of the company. Dr Halamka is the International Healthcare Innovation professor at Harvard Medical School, where he has served in both Republican and Democrat presidential administrations, and advised national governments throughout the world on healthcare technology. He is also the chief information officer (CIO) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and chairman of the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN), as well as a practicing emergency physician.

Dr. Scott Barron Named Deputy Editor of Pediatrics for DynaMed Plus®
Pediatric content in the evidence-based clinical reference tool DynaMed Plus® (@DynaMed_POC) from EBSCO Health (@EBSCO) will benefit from the appointment of Scott Barron, M.D. as the Deputy Editor of Pediatrics. Dr. Barron brings with him over 20 years of experience in General and Emergency Pediatric Medicine to this new position.

Tim Lash Named Chief Strategy Officer of West Health
West Health (@WestHealth), dedicated to enabling successful aging for our nation’s seniors, announced that Timothy A. Lash has been named its chief strategy officer. Texas eHealth Alliance Names New Board Member – Zipnosis Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rebecca Hafner-Fogarty
Dr. Rebecca Hafner-Fogarty, Zipnosis’ (@Zipnosis) Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and head of its regulatory affairs team, was recently named to the Texas eHealth Alliances’ (TeHA) 2017 Board of Directors. In this role, she will work with other board members to promote the use of information technology to enhance healthcare delivery and improve the healthcare system for patients – both in Texas and nationally.
