John Kelly of Edifecs Elected to WEDI Board of Directors

Practice Fusion Announces Appointment of Tom Langan as Permanent Chief Executive Officer
Practice Fusion (@PracticeFusion), the #1 cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform, announced the appointment of Tom Langan as its permanent Chief Executive Officer. Langan has been interim CEO of Practice Fusion since August of this year. This also follows Langan’s appointment as a member of Practice Fusion’s Board of Directors in September of this year, a role which he will continue to fill following his appointment as permanent CEO.
Dr. Peter Tippett, Healthcare IT Pioneer, Named to DataMotion Board of Directors to Accelerate Growth
DataMotion (@DataMotion), an experienced email encryption and health information service provider (HISP), announced the appointment of Peter Tippett, M.D., Ph.D. to its Board of Directors. Considered a pioneer and foremost authority on health IT – with diverse credits ranging from serving on the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC) to creating the first commercial anti-virus product – Tippett was named to the Board to help further DataMotion’s rapid growth and reputation as the leader in secure health information delivery. Tippett has also become an investor in the company.
New Board Members Poised to Shape the Agenda for AEHIX Groups
The Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Applications (AEHIA), Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Technology (AEHIT) and Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) — and their respective foundations — announced newly elected members to their boards of trustees. Launched in 2014 by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) (@CIOCHIME), the groups – collectively known as AEHIX – offer educational and professional develop programs for senior healthcare leaders in information technology, applications and security. CynergisTek CEO Elected to Board of Trustees for CHIME’s AEHIS

Quality Systems, Inc. Board of Directors Elects Jeffrey H. Margolis as Chairman of Board
Quality Systems, Inc., announced the election of Jeffrey H. Margolis as the independent chairman of the board of directors, effective today. Margolis succeeds Sheldon Razin, 77, founder, who has served as the chairman of the board since the Company’s inception in 1974. Concurrently, the board elected Craig A. Barbarosh to serve as vice chairman.

Orion Health Names Robert Pepper New Vice President of Marketing for North America
