Charles W. Stellar Named WEDI President and CEO
WEDI (@WEDIonline), announced that Charles W. Stellar has been named by the WEDI Board of Directors as WEDI’s president and CEO. Stellar has served as WEDI’s interim CEO since January 2016. As an executive leader with more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, association management and organizational leadership, Stellar will continue to oversee the strategic guidance of the organization, its staff and committees.

Greythorn HIT Advisory Board
Greythorn officially announced the formation of its Healthcare IT Advisory Board, which is comprised of experienced HIT professionals from different corners of the industry. Greythorn has appointed three founding members to the HIT Advisory Board: Steven C. GAO Appoints Three New Members to Health IT Policy Committee
Gene L. Dodaro, Comptroller General of the United States and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) (@USGAO), announced the appointment of three new members to the Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy Committee. The new appointees are: James S. (Jamie) Ferguson, who will fill the position representing payers; Carolyn Petersen, who will fill the position of an advocate for patients and consumers; and Karen L. van Caulil, PhD, who will fill the position representing employers.

Anita Pramoda Joins Health Catalyst Board
Health Catalyst (@HealthCatalyst), a leader in healthcare data warehousing, analytics and outcomes improvement, announced that healthcare IT veteran Anita Pramoda has joined the company’s Board of Directors as an independent board member and a member of the Audit Committee.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders Appoints Chief Financial Officer and Security Analyst

DeBehnke, MD, MBA, has been named the new chief executive officer of Nebraska Medicine (@NebraskaMed), succeeding interim CEO Rosanna Morris, MBA, BSN, RN, and interim president Bradley Britigan, MD. Dr. DeBehnke is currently the chief executive officer of Medical College Physicians, the Milwaukee-based physicians group representing more than 1,500 academic physicians and providers who practice at Froedtert Hospital, the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinics and other hospitals in southeastern Wisconsin.

Indiana Health Information Exchange Names Valita Fredland as Vice President, General Counsel and Privacy Officer
The Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) announced that Valita Fredland has been named Vice President, General Counsel and Privacy Officer effective May 16th. She brings with her comprehensive experience in healthcare law, privacy, security and ethical considerations.
