Highmark executive Michael Fiaschetti Appointed to Board of Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority
Michael Fiaschetti of Harrisburg, president of commercial markets for Highmark Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority. He was appointed by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-25th) upon the recommendation of Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa (D-43rd). The Authority, established through legislation approved in July 2012, is charged with creating the ability for medical providers to securely exchange medical information electronically.
Stakeholders elect ex-officio members to Board of Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority
Stakeholders of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority recently elected two ex-officio members to the Authority’s board of directors. Martin Ciccocioppo of Middletown, vice president for research at the Hospital & Health Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), and Kelly Lewis of Mechanicsburg, president of the Allied HIE Company, were elected at the Authority’s plenary meeting in October. Ciccocioppo will serve a two-year term and Lewis one year. They round out the board, which has 15 voting members.

Chris Schoenrock, Vice President of Market Development for Minneapolis-based Healthland Inc., has been named a member of a new Population Health Task Force of HIMSS – the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. The Population Health Task Force is an extension of the HIMSS Clinical and Business Intelligence initiative intended to provide members practical guidance and unbiased information about how to harness the power of healthcare data.
