KKR has eye on health with WebMD, Nature’s Bounty deals
Private equity firm KKR & Co (@KKR_Co) has agreed to buy WebMD Health Corp (@WebMD) for about $2.8 billion, bringing a slew of popular online health information websites under one umbrella, and separately said it would buy a major stake in Nature’s Bounty Company. The WebMD deal is five months after the New York-based company said it would explore strategic options amid a slowdown in advertising paid for by pharmaceutical companies. KKR will fold WebMD’s websites, including WebMD.com and Medscape.com, into its Internet Brands unit, which houses sites such as DentalPlans.com and AllAboutCounseling.com.

DXC Technology (@DXCTechnology) , an end-to-end IT services company, recently announced that it has acquired Tribridge, one of the largest independent integrators of Microsoft Dynamics 365. The combination of Tribridge with the existing DXC Eclipse business solidifies DXC’s position as a leading global systems integrator for Microsoft Dynamics. The acquisition includes the Tribridge affiliate company, Concerto Cloud Services. Under the acquisition agreement, which is effective immediately, Tribridge will be known as Tribridge, a DXC Technology Company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Electronic Health Records System to Enhance Quality of Care at State Facilities
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced the selection of Cerner (@Cerner) as the supplier of its electronic health records system for its seven care and treatment facilities, which serve people living with psychiatric disorders and intellectual disabilities. The 10-year, $33 million contract calls for the implementation of an electronic health records system for Central Wisconsin Center in Madison, Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison, Northern Wisconsin Center in Chippewa Falls, Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center in Mauston, Southern Wisconsin Center in Union Grove, Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Winnebago, and the Wisconsin Resource Center in Winnebago.

Availity Successfully Raises $200 Million of Debt Financing
Availity (@availity) the nation’s largest payer and provider engagement network, announced it has closed a five year $200 million senior secured revolving credit facility. The facility includes an accordion feature which allows for an additional $100 million of capacity when exercised. The revolver will be largely undrawn at close. Availity is the leading healthcare technology and engagement platform for tackling the complexities of synthesizing and sharing data between health plans and their provider networks. The company enables users to simultaneously transact administrative, financial, and clinical information with rich insights, automation, and standardization.

Teleradiology Solutions and Zebra Medical Vision Announce First Artificial Intelligence Deployment at Scale to Improve Medical Imaging Diagnosis in 20 Developing Countries
