DirectTrust Continues Steady Growth in Number of Direct Exchange Users, Addresses and Transactions during First Quarter
DirectTrust (@DirectTrustorg) announced continued steady growth in the number of Direct exchange users, addresses and transactions. The organization also announced the addition of six new members since the beginning of the year. DirectTrust is a health care industry alliance created by and for participants in the Direct exchange network used for secure, interoperable exchange of personal health information (PHI) between provider organizations, and between provider and patients, for the purpose of improved coordination of care.
Provider-Owned Health Plans Seek CAQH CORE Certification
The CAQH (@CAQH) Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange® (CORE®) announced that provider-owned health plans are seeking CAQH CORE Certification to go above and beyond regulatory requirements and improve electronic information sharing. To date, Boston Medical Center Health Plan, Providence Health Plan and UPMC Health Plan have completed testing and have been awarded certifications.
ZeOmega® Releases 2017 Updates to Integrated Patient Assessments

ONC Releases Proposed Interoperability Standards Measurement Framework Document
In 2015, the ONC (@ONC_HealthIT) released Connecting Health and Care for the Nation: A Shared Nationwide Interoperability Roadmap (the Roadmap). The Roadmap lays out a series of “calls to action” and “commitments” aimed at focusing public and private efforts toward the Roadmap’s 2024 end-state where nationwide interoperability enables a learning health system. The purpose of the Proposed Interoperability Standards Measurement Framework (the Framework) is to determine the nation’s progress in implementing interoperability standards in health information technology (health IT) and the use of the standards as a way to measure progress towards nationwide interoperability. Additionally, the Framework will help identify specific barriers to standards implementation and use that need to be addressed. This is now open to pubic comment.
