MetroChicago HIE to Debut DirectRoute Clinical Communications from Secure Exchange Solutions
MetroChicago Health Information Exchange (HIE), powered by Sandlot Solutions (@SandlotSolution), is bringing its members a revolutionary way to manage their clinical communication. DirectRoute allows every provider, department and hospital with a Direct address to set up a personalized message routing profile, empowering each end user to customize how they receive secure patient information from their colleagues, whether inside their EHR, on a web portal or on a mobile device. Indiana HIE Partners with DataMotion to Deliver Secure Health Information via Direct Messaging
DataMotion (@DataMotion), an experienced email encryption and health information service provider (HISP), announced that the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE), the nation’s largest health information exchange, has deployed the company’s Direct Secure Messaging solution to facilitate high-volume, secure delivery of protected health information (PHI). The solution will bring universal interoperability and HIPAA-compliant security to IHIE’s electronic delivery service.

Mana Health Launches ManaCloud Platform; Meets Meaningful Use Stage 3 Requirements for Patient Data Access with Unified API
Mana Health (@Manahealth), a technology company that creates data-driven solutions for healthcare, announced the availability of its ManaCloud Platform, a secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud platform that unifies electronic medical records (EMRs) with patient-generated data and offers a developer-friendly Application Programming Interface (API) to support authorized access. The launch comes on the heels of the recently announced Meaningful Use—Stage 3 (MU-3) proposed rule, which requires the use of API for sharing data with patients and making available patient-generated data to providers along the continuum of care.

Carequality Introduces Trust Principles for Secure Interoperability Among U.S. Data Sharing Networks

NMHIC Launches Platform to Expand Patient Data Sharing, Partners with National Leader in Health Information Solutions
The New Mexico Health Information Collaborative (NMHIC), announced the successful Go-Live of its statewide health information exchange (HIE) network, to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of health care delivery across the state. NMHIC HIE enables the secure electronic exchange of patient health information, with patient consent, among different and unrelated healthcare organizations using different electronic health record systems. Final State Budget Funds Statewide Health Information Network of New York
The New York State Legislature voted to support New York’s electronic health records system – known as the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (the SHIN-NY). The final New York State Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget includes $45M in State funding for the SHIN-NY and its Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs), which will continue the work to build this public network, allowing healthcare providers and patients to seamlessly access electronic health records throughout the state.
