HIMSS Cyber/Data Security Expert Named Co-Chair of Health IT Standards Committee
Lisa Gallagher, vice president, technology solutions, HIMSS North America (@HIMSS), and Arien Malec of RelayHealth Clinical Solutions, have been appointed co-chairs for the Health IT Standards Committee (HITSC), a Federal Advisory Committee to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT established by the HITECH Act of 2009. Gallagher previously served as a data security expert to the HITSC, in addition to serving as Chair of HITSC’s Data Provenance Task Force and as Co-Chair of the Privacy and Security Work Group.
eHealth Technologies appoints Jeff Markin as new COO
