HIE Answers to Support Health Information Exchange
August 9, 2012 – HITECH Answers, a leading provider of educational resources, reporting and commentary on the HITECH Act, the CMS EHR Incentive programs and Meaningful Use announced today the launch of the company’s companion site, HIEAnswers.net.
HITECH Answers, a leading provider of resources on the HITECH Act since 2009, announced today the launch of companion site, HIE Answers The EHR Incentive Programs provide incentive payments to Eligible Professionals, Eligible Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals to adopt, implement, upgrade, or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Currently a five year disbursement program, the intent is to jump start nationwide EHR adoption.
HIEAnswers.net provides content and resources to help providers understand Health Information Exchange and what is required to stay current with Federal initiatives. It is the second of 3 planned resource and education websites creating a network for visitors to learn about the details and process of EHR adoption.
“The goal of our ‘answers’ network is to help providers, vendors, and consumers understand how to participate in Electronic Health Record Adoption , Health Information Exchange, and Personal Health Records”, said Roberta Mullin, Editor-in-Chief for HITECH Answers. “While the two sites look almost identical, from a content standpoint, their focus differs with HITECHAnswers.net devoted to the EHR Incentive Programs and HIEAnswers.net exclusively on health information exchange.”
The third and final site, PHR Answers, is scheduled for launch in October. The launch of PHRAnswers.net will provide resources and content for both providers and consumers to understand patient engagement and personal health records. This third site will complete the HITECH Answers network.
