Hangout with Jonathan Bush, Today at 3:30 ET
Jonathan Bush is every where these days, talking about unsiloing data and open system EHRs, and challenging our notions of what a CEO of a large company will say when the cameras start rolling. If you check him out on Youtube you’ll see he’s actually been at this for a while. It does seems, though, like his face time has increased dramatically since the HIMSS conference in March and the press briefing announcing the formation of the Commonwell Alliance. At that press briefing, Bush talks about competition based on closed systems. You can watch him in action at 20:00 into the video of the briefing.
Next up, TEDMED in April with Bush’s talk, “For Profits and Non-profits: Can This Marriage Be Saved”, discussing if profit and healthcare can ever be aligned. Then came his hilarious promo for Datapalooza. Hear him answer burning questions like; How is athenahealth using data? What’s stopping the free flow of data? What happens when data is liberated?
Bush was a keynote speaker at Datapalooza, and his speech was filled with a lot of “Wow, I can’t believe he said that!” laughs. Read Veronica Combs list of funniest lines from athenahealth CEO’s keynote.
So, if you want to see Bush at his next gig, check out today’s Google+ Hangout. John Lynn will be interviewing him at 3:30 ET on open system EHRs. You can watch the video live.
