100 things to know about Medicare and Medicaid — 2015 update
We start with the 50 year anniversary of Medicare today! President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the healthcare bill into law on July 30, 1965. This great list from Becker’s Hospital CFO categorizes the 100 items into history, today, Medicaid expansion, reimbursement, innovation, politics, and fraud prevention. Did you know that Congress established the CMS Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation as part of the PPACA in an effort to reduce Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP expenditures without compromising the quality of care?
