Thought leaders from the nation’s most renowned and progressive healthcare organizations will come together during National Health IT Week (Sept. 26-30) to raise awareness and assemble key healthcare constituents dedicated to working together to elevate the necessity of advancing health through the best use of information technology.
One of the week’s highlights will be the NHIT Week Reception and Award Ceremony on Sept. 28 to be held at the American College of Surgeons Rooftop Terrace, Washington, DC.
The HIMSS Leadership Award recognizes federal, congressional and state leaders who made a significant contribution meriting national recognition to the healthcare information technology field and are presented during National Health IT Week.
“Our award winners exemplify the critical role policymakers can play in realizing the full potential of health IT to support improved access, innovations in care delivery and, most importantly, better health outcomes for patients,” Tom Leary, Vice President, Government Affairs, HIMSS stated.
