AACN Announces New Support for National Program to Aid Nursing Students Impacted by COVID-19
The AACN is pleased to announce that new funding has been received from organizations and individual donors to expand the COVID-19 Nursing Student Support Fund. Administered by AACN’s Foundation for Academic Nursing, this fund was created to provide financial relief to students whose education and lives have been directly impacted by the coronavirus. In addition to the 24 donations from individuals and organizations, the Foundation is grateful to three organizations for their generous contributions to the student fund: the Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation ($ 25,000); Jonas Nursing and Veterans Healthcare ($ 10,000); and the University of Memphis Foundation ($ 3,000). The application is now open through June 30 for students seeking support.

Racism Affects Health and Wellness and It Must Be Addressed
The American Academy of Nursing mourns the death of George Floyd and stands with those across the country calling for action to change structures and policies that have enabled and permitted senseless violence to occur. His death, and those of others before him, is a tragic reminder of the stark inequities and systemic racism that persist today. National Association of Neonatal Nurses
