Meaningful Use Education Module on Transitions of Care

To say we’ve been impressed with what the ONC has been doing lately on the digital/interactive education front would be quite the understatement. Last week they hosted their first Google+ hangout, moderated by Chief Scientist Doug Fridsma. Today, the ONC launched the first of a series of self-guided education modules to educate providers on Stage 2 meaningful use.

The first video in this new series is on Transitions of Care criteria and is hosted by the ONC Director of Federal Policy Division, Steve Posnack. The education module covers transitions of care and walks the viewer through the requirements for the meaningful use objective and measures and their relationship to certified EHR technology. You can view this 16-minute video here.

The ONC and CMS staff created the video modules in response to health IT stakeholders questions about Stage 2 / 2014 Edition requirements. We’ll keep you posted as additional modules are released.
