Meaningful Use Attestation Numbers Through July 31, 2013
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT along with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services have compiled a list of Electronic Health Record products used for the attestation of Meaningful Use under the CMS Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. The file containing this data is in a csv format and is updated monthly. In addition, a data dictionary is provided that describes the variables available in the dataset.
The dataset provides a comprehensive list of all certified products used by health care providers to attest to the “meaningful use” of EHR systems as well as the types of providers using them. This data set results from the merge of attestation data from the CMS EHR Incentive Program with certified EHR product information from ONC’s Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL). The data is current as of July 31, 2013.

| EHR Certification ID | A unique ID for different combinations of EHR products. |
| Vendor Name | Name of EHR vendor |
| EHR Product Name | Name of EHR product |
| Product Classification | Complete/Modular. Complete products meet all the Meaningful Use (MU) requirements. Modular products meet one or more of the MU requirements but not all. |
| Product Setting | Ambulatory/Inpatient. Practice setting for which the product was designed for. |
| Attestation Month | Month in which the attestation was approved successful. May not match Program Year or Payment Year due to delays in processing. |
| Attestation Year | Year in which the attestation was approved as successful. |
| Business State/Territory | Business location of provider who successfully attested to MU |
| Provider Type | EP/Hospital. Whether the provider is an eligible professional (EP) or an eligible hospital (Hospital). |
| Specialty | The specialty of the eligible professional who attested (derived from PECOS). |
| Program Year | Indicates the year of participation (2011, 2012, 2013…). |
| Payment Year | Indicates the year of participation (1,2,3,4,5…) that matches up to the Program Year and actual attestation. |
| Program Type | Whether the provider attested under the Medicare or Medicare/Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. |
