2012 Consumer Health IT Summit
This year’s Consumer Health IT Summit on Monday, September 10 celebrates the progress the public and private sector have made in making health information more easily available to consumers and engaging them to use their data to improve their care. The ONC promises to “take this movement to the next level” at this year’s event. The summit will feature addresses from National Coordinator for Health IT, Farzad Mostashari, and Todd Park, U.S. Technology Officer. Expect announcements of new policies and federal initiatives.
You can still attend the summit though not in person. This year’s event has reached has reached capacity. Thankfully, the summit is available by webcast live at www.hhs.gov/live on Monday starting at 10 am Eastern.
During the summit look for:
- Announcements about new policies and federal initiatives
- Examples of companies that are enabling widespread consumer access to health information
- Compelling consumer tools that help people to make use of their data
- Creative approaches to motivate and support consumer engagement in health
- Developments related to the Blue Button Initiative
