It takes a village is one of my favorite phrases. It is so true about so many things. And for me it works for reporting on last week’s 4th Annual SHIEC Conference in Atlanta. There were so many good people tweeting and writing great things about the event I had to round them up and report.
Check out the event hashtag for a great digital dialog – #SHIEC18.
Hands down (not even a reporter) the best at the event tweeting highlights goes to Justin Campbell (@justincampbell), from Galen Healthcare. I ran into Justin and he said he was happily there as an attendee and getting to take in the educational program. And when he got home it was like he had gathered so much information, he had to share it! Check out his great post, SHIEC18: Re-cap, Impression, & Insights. Someone needs to give him a press pass next year!
The event kicked off with keynote speaker, ONC Donald Rucker. A must read summary from Mark Hagland in Healthcare Informatics of Rucker’s “Reshaping U.S. Healthcare: A Progress Report on Improving Interoperability and Usability of Clinical Information” speech, calling it cautious.
I was lucky enough to talk to so many people on my day there. Check out my radio interviews from the event. See you next year in Maryland.
Like all of our conference audios interviews for HealthcareNOW Radio, you can hear them throughout the day on the live streaming or listen on demand on our SoundCloud channel. Check out all the Sharing at SHIEC interviews.
