California – SacValley MedShare
SacValley MedShare (@svmshie) is a member of the California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) and serves the 16-county region of California, north of Sacramento, which includes the North Central Valley and the surrounding mountainous terrain. Its region is largely rural and mountainous, with travel limited by climate and season in much of the area. Good communication is critical to coordinate care between primary care, specialists, hospital providers, and skilled nursing care facilities that fulfill a vital role in post-discharge care for many patients.
Chief Courtright Joins Board Of Directors – Battalion Chief Andrew Courtright has joined the SacValley MedShare Board of Directors. Chief Courtright is second in command at the Peninsula Fire Protection District in Lake Almanor, California.
Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII)
Nebraska Health Information Initiative (@NeHIIorg) is leading the effort to create a secure, online, web-based Health Information Exchange designed to serve the state of Nebraska. Improved delivery of health care information and reduced health care costs are good for all citizens of Nebraska. The state has a proud tradition and reputation of providing the finest health care possible to its citizens. The HIE will help health care providers take health care to the next level.
Unite Nebraska Launches – Unite Nebraska is a coordinated care network of health and social care providers, sponsored by Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NEHII). Partners in the network are connected through a shared technology platform, Unite Us, which enables them to send and receive electronic referrals, address people’s social needs, and improve health across communities.

Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN)
Georgia Health Information Network (@GeorgiaHIE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a healthier Georgia by facilitating the use and secure exchange of electronic health information so providers have the information they need at the point of care. GaHIN’s two products, GeorgiaDirect and Georgia ConnectedCare, connect providers statewide and nationally and are free for credentialed, authorized Georgia users.
My Medical Neighborhood Coalition on Health (MMNCH) Connects to GaHIN, Gaining New Interoperability Resources to Improve Patient Care – My Medical Neighborhood Coalition on Health (MMNCH) has connected to the GaHIN. GaHIN’s goal is to create a healthier Georgia through the use and secure exchange of electronic health information.
Arizona – Health Current
Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
Governor Ducey Proclaims Arizona Health Information Exchange Week, Oct. 11-17, 2020 – Governor Ducey has proclaimed October 11-17, 2020 as Arizona Health Information Exchange (HIE) Week to reaffirm Arizona’s commitment to promoting the secure sharing of electronic health data across a broad spectrum of the state’s healthcare landscape, including health systems and hospitals, labs, community behavioral health and physical health providers, post-acute care and hospice providers, first responders, and many others.

Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)
HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.
American Diabetes Association® and HealthShare Exchange Join Forces to Advance Care for People with Diabetes – The American Diabetes Association (ADA), and HSX unveiled a new quality improvement framework using HSX’s data sharing and analysis capabilities to support mid-Atlantic healthcare systems including HSX members Penn Medicine, Temple Health and Jefferson Health, as well as Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey and the Johns Hopkins Health System in Maryland to advance the quality of clinical care provided to 1,910,000 million people with diabetes in the region.

New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)
The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.
HealtheConnections: Introducing New Population Health Tool for Local Health Departments – Leveraging the patient health information contributed from more than 500 organizations in 26 counties of New York State, HealtheConnections (@_myhec) has launched a new application for local health departments to view de-identified clinical data from its health information exchange (HIE) for population health-level use. This analytics-based tool, with graphical dashboards and user-selectable criteria, includes prevalence estimates of hypertension, diabetes and pre-diabetes at the county and zip code level.
Hixny: Hixny Puts Actionable Patient Information Front and Center with New Patient Snapshot – Hixny (@Hixny) announced recently the launch of a new capability within its provider web portal to serve providers the most important information on their patients at a glance. Calling it their patient record snapshot, the health information network (HIN) is using the feature to quickly deliver data that is critical to efficient and effective care.
Rochester RHIO: Milestone in Health Data Sharing Leads to Better Care for Medicaid and Uninsured Residents Across the Finger Lakes Region – The COVID-19 pandemic is shining a spotlight on the value of more complete medical records in assessing and assisting people who need care to become and remain healthy. Now, 300 regional Community Based Organization (CBOs) sites have connected to Rochester RHIO (@RochesterRHIO).
Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)
CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.
CORHIO and Health Current Join Forces and Announce Intent to Form New Regional Organization – CORHIO and Health Current have entered formal discussions to strategically align their organizations to better serve the healthcare data needs in Colorado and Arizona, while preparing for future consolidation in the health information exchange (HIE) landscape.
Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)
The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.
MiHIN Plays Critical Role in COVID-19 Response in Michigan – HIEs and HINs across the U.S. have been supporting healthcare providers in their response to the on-going COVID-19 Pandemic. MiHIN maintains real-time COVID results delivery to the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS) as well as to health departments, payers, and clinicians across the state, leveraging their core use cases.
Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN)
KHIN (@khininfo) capitalizes on the unique strengths that local communities and regions bring to the HIE and ensure that individual regions or communities have the decision-making authority to address local or regional health-care initiatives.
KONZA Awarded Two-Year Award from ONC – KHIN, doing business as KONZA, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). KONZA’s award is part of ONC’s Strengthening the Technical Advancement & Readiness of Public Health via Health Information Exchange Program (STAR HIE Program).

UHIN (@UHIN_HIE) has been in operation since 1993 beginning as a claims “post office.” Today it also operates the Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE), which empowers doctors and patients to work together for safer, better-coordinated care by making crucial information available to doctors at the point of care.
