Mississippi Health Access Exchange (MHAX)
Mississippi Health Access Exchange (@MHAX_HIE) is a health information network created to allow connected physicians, healthcare facilities, and other healthcare providers to share patient information. Participants have access to powerful analytics reports designed to help improve patient encounters and clinical outcomes while also empowering physicians as they transition to the new alternate payment models involving quality reporting, advancing care information, clinical practice improvements and resource use.
MSMA Launches Statewide Health Information Exchange to Improve Patient Care and Efficiency – The Mississippi State Medical Association (MSMA) has partnered with KONZA, a trusted organization with a history of providing patient data and technology solutions to healthcare providers, to establish MHAX, a physician-led statewide electronic Health Information Exchange.
California – Manifest Medex
Manifest MedEx is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health information exchanges (HIEs), combining 11.7 million claims records from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross and 5 million clinical patient records from 150 participating partners. Manifest MedEx supports physicians, nurses, hospitals and health plans in sharing critical health information to ensure that patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. The California Integrated Data Exchange and Inland Empire Health Information Exchange merged to create Manifest Medex.
Manifest MedEx Network Now Sharing Health Records For More Than Half of Californians – Manifest MedEx is announcing that it is now sharing health records for 23 million people, more than half (58%) the population of California, through its network of over 600 participating hospitals, health plans and provider organizations.
California – SacValley MedShare
SacValley MedShare (@svmshie) is a member of the California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) and serves the 16-county region of California, north of Sacramento, which includes the North Central Valley and the surrounding mountainous terrain. Its region is largely rural and mountainous, with travel limited by climate and season in much of the area. Good communication is critical to coordinate care between primary care, specialists, hospital providers, and skilled nursing care facilities that fulfill a vital role in post-discharge care for many patients.
Redding Rancheria and Glenn Medical Center Contribute Data – SacValley MedShare announces that Redding Rancheria Tribal Health has gone live with contributing CCD’s to the SacValley MedShare health information exchange. Additionally, Glenn Medical Center brought live their connections to SacValley MedShare. They are contributing ADT (Admit, Discharge, Transfer) messages along with radiology reports and lab results.
Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII)
Nebraska Health Information Initiative (@NeHIIorg) is leading the effort to create a secure, online, web-based Health Information Exchange designed to serve the state of Nebraska. Improved delivery of health care information and reduced health care costs are good for all citizens of Nebraska. The state has a proud tradition and reputation of providing the finest health care possible to its citizens. The HIE will help health care providers take health care to the next level.
Unite Us and Nebraska Health Information Initiative Expand Partnership to Bring Coordinated Care to Six Additional States – Unite Us, the technology company building coordinated care networks nationwide, announced that it is expanding its partnership with Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NEHII), a Health Information Exchange (HIE), to six additional states including Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, and Minnesota.
Arizona – Health Current
Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
Health Current Recognizes Dr. Jim Whitfill, Equality Health, and Sonora Quest Labs with the 2020 Health IT Awards – Health Current is proud to recognize Dr. Jim Whitfill of HonorHealth as the recipient of the 2020 Health IT Leader Award; Equality Health as the recipient of the 2020 Health IT Innovation Award; and Sonora Quest Laboratories with the first-ever ACHIEVE Award.
Maine – HealthInfoNet
HealthInfoNet (@hinfonet) is a Maine-based, independent nonprofit designated by the State of Maine to operate Maine’s statewide health information exchange. The HIE links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record. This record is accessible to a patient’s authorized health care providers to support treatment. HealthInfoNet provides a secure, standardized electronic system where health care providers can share important patient information, giving them the tools they need to make more informed treatment decisions, especially in an emergency.
Making Connections with Long-Term Care Facilities – HealthInfoNet is partnering with the Office of MaineCare Services (MaineCare) in support of their Medicare Advantage Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) data-sharing requirements. The requirements will connect new long-term care (LTC) facilities to the Health Information Exchange (HIE) as a means of addressing the need for greater care coordination for high-risk individuals.
Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)
HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.
HealthShare Exchange Receives STAR HIE Program Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – HealthShare Exchange announced that it is the recipient of an award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). The award is under the Strengthening the Technical Advancement and Readiness of Public Health Agencies via Health Information Exchange (STAR HIE) cooperative agreement program.
New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)
The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.
HealtheConnections Achieves NCQA Data Aggregator Validation Status – HealtheConnections (@_myhec) announces that it has completed the NCQA Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) Program Pilot and achieved validation status. HealtheConnections, along with New York State health information exchanges (HIEs) HEALTHeLINK and Hixny, participated with NCQA to develop a program that will facilitate the exchange of aggregated clinical data for use in HEDIS and other quality reporting efforts. They are the first approved data aggregators in the country.
HEALTHeLINK Named CPC+ Data Aggregator by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services – HEALTHeLINK (@healthelink) has been named the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) data aggregator for the Greater Buffalo Region by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CPC+ is a national advanced primary care medical home model initiative that aims to strengthen primary care through regionally based multi-payer payment reform and care delivery transformation.
Three Connections Added to Hixny in October – Hixny (@Hixny) connected three organizations to the community-wide health information network (HIN) in October, further expanding the availability of patient records to the statewide healthcare community and to individual healthcare consumers. These additions to Hixny’s network further expand the reach of the HIN into the lower Hudson Valley and Vermont.
Rochester RHIO Launches Advanced Clinical Search Tool for Clinicians With Explore – Rochester RHIO (@NYeHealth) has launched Explore+, an advanced clinical query portal that is flexible and responsive to the ever-evolving needs of Health Information Exchange (HIE). This innovative patient search technology, created specifically for the multiple and often complex demands of HIE data environments, creates a better user experience through enhanced functionality and time-saving efficiencies.
Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)
CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.
After Early Success, Office of Behavioral Health Expands CORHIO Partnership to Bring HIE to More Colorado Jails – Several Colorado jails are seeing gains in improving the health outcomes of incarcerated individuals with the help of real-time access to medical information through CORHIO.
Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)
Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.

Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)
The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.
Name Change Announcement – MIGateway – MiHIN is pleased to announce a new name for MIDIGATE, the interoperable solution for coordinating patient care. Henceforth, MIDIGATE will be known as MIGateway, which stands for Medical Information Gateway.
Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services
LANES (@LANES_HIE) is an independent, non-profit organization developing a health information exchange (HIE) for all hospitals, clinics, and health plans that provide care to L.A. County residents. LANES seeks to make patients health information available safely and securely, when and where it is needed to enable better clinical care and care coordination.
Two FQHCs Join LANES Health Information Exchange to Improve Continuity of Care for Underserved Patients – Despite the widespread availability of secure electronic data transfer, most medical information is stored on paper or locked in data silos. To improve the completeness of a patient’s record and close gaps in fragmented care coordination, two community-based Federally Qualified Health Centers will connect to the LANES regional HIE. The community clinics have instant access to the most current patient-encounter data ─ physician notes, lab results, diagnostic images, procedures, ordered prescriptions and more ─ to inform clinical diagnoses at the point of care.
