California – SacValley MedShare
SacValley MedShare (@svmshie) is a member of the California Association of Health Information Exchanges (CAHIE) and serves the 16-county region of California, north of Sacramento, which includes the North Central Valley and the surrounding mountainous terrain. Its region is largely rural and mountainous, with travel limited by climate and season in much of the area. Good communication is critical to coordinate care between primary care, specialists, hospital providers, and skilled nursing care facilities that fulfill a vital role in post-discharge care for many patients.
Oroville Hospital/Valley Clinical Lab Contribute Lab Results – Oroville Hospital/Valley Clinical Labs recently brought live their lab results feed to the HIE. As a regional lab, Valley Clinical Laboratory offers comprehensive laboratory services to the people of Butte County along with providing services to physician offices and health care facilities throughout northern California. This is a shared success for patients, physicians, and organizations alike.
Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN)
In October 2010 Wisconsin officially announced its intention to designate WISHIN (@WISHIN_Pulse), a not-for-profit organization formed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Society, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and Wisconsin Health Information Organization, as the State-designated entity to govern statewide HIE. DE on October 25, 2010. WISHIN is responsible for implementing Wisconsin’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The plan requires multi-stakeholder collaboration and emphasizes ongoing development of government and policy structures.

Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN)
Delaware Health Information Network’s (@DHIN_HIE) roots reach back to 1997 when the Delaware General Assembly enacted the organization as a public/private partnership. The objective was, and remains today, to advance the creation of a statewide health information network that addresses the state’s needs for timely, reliable and relevant health care information. In 2007, DHIN “went live” – meaning it became the first operational statewide health information exchange in the nation.
Funding Available to Connect Small PCPs to DHIN – The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking applications from Delaware healthcare providers for one-time, health information exchange (HIE) support mini-grants to adopt the full range of health information exchange tools offered by Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN).
New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)
The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.
Price Chopper/Market 32 Pharmacies Connect Prescription and Immunization Data to Hixny – Hixny (@Hixny) and Price Chopper/Market 32 announced that the progressive New York-based supermarket chain with 82 pharmacies is the first in the state to connect to the health information exchange (HIE) and securely share prescription and immunization data from stores in the six states in which they operate.
Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)
CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.
CORHIO Selected to Present at HIMSS 2020 – CORHIO is honored to be selected to present a session with the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health at the 2020 HIMSS conference. Speakers are Kate Horle, Chief Operations Officer at CORHIO and Danielle Culp, Criminal Justice Health Information Exchange Coordinator at the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health.
Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)
The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.
Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services Integrates Great Lakes Health Connect – MiHIN will integrate Great Lakes Health Connect to improve healthcare across the state and beyond. MiHIN and GLHC have signed an agreement for the proposed integration with the goal of combining operations by the end of 2019.

Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)
Great Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. Utah Health Information Network (UHIN)
UHIN (@UHIN_HIE) has been in operation since 1993 beginning as a claims “post office.” Today it also operates the Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE), which empowers doctors and patients to work together for safer, better-coordinated care by making crucial information available to doctors at the point of care.
Leadership Update – It was recently announced that Teresa Rivera has stepped down from her role as Chief Executive Officer. The UHIN Board of Directors has appointed Brian Chin, formerly UHIN’s Chief Financial Officer, as Interim CEO until a replacement chief executive is appointed.
Missouri – Missouri Health Connect (MHC)
Missouri Health Connect (@HealthConnectMO), a non‐profit organization, is the state‐designated HIE organization that provides a secure and private electronic platform for sharing health information.
Free Connection to the Mo Health Connection Health Information Exchange Network – MHC recently announced that it has funding available to cover the one-time implementation costs associated with connecting to MHC’s Health Information Exchange (HIE) network. These implementation costs can sometimes be a barrier for health care providers to be able to participate with MHC which is why we are so thrilled about this opportunity.
South Dakota Health Link
South Dakota Health Link (@SDHealthLink) connects hospitals, federally qualified health centers, primary care providers, specialists, labs and pharmacies as well as public health and other state agencies. It’s a one-of-a-kind network that allows secure consultations and the sharing of test results with other providers for better patient outcomes. Health Link is provided by the South Dakota Department of Health and guided by an active advisory council working toward a common goal: Foster the sharing of information through a secure platform to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of care provided to all citizens.
Seeking Volunteers to Serve on the South Dakota Health Link Advisory Council – South Dakota Health Link is seeking up to 7 volunteers to serve on the SDHL Advisory Council. The Advisory Council plays a key role in development, enhancement, and strategic direction of SDHL and provides input on new and emerging technology necessary to ensure SDHLs viability and sustainability. If you would like to be considered for the SDHL Advisory Council please submit your letter of interest to lisa.fox@dsu.edu no later than December 13, 2019. Appointments will be announced in early 2020.
Keystone Health Information Exchange (KeyHIE)
KeyHIE was founded in 2005 and is one of the oldest health information exchanges in the U.S. KeyHIE seeks to revolutionize the coordination of care between providers, health plans and patients. They serve more than four million patients over a 53 county presence in Pennsylvania. KeyHIE strives to empower entire communities to stay healthy by helping them own their healthcare experience.
KeyHIE, Life Image first in nation to implement FHIR-based imaging app to share diagnostic content in provider portal – KeyHIE announced that it recently launched an innovative new tool that allows physicians to share medical images and associated reports to enable better care coordination, provide important clinical context for diagnostic interpretations, and improve outcomes.
