California – Manifest Medex
Manifest MedEx is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health information exchanges (HIEs), combining 11.7 million claims records from Blue Shield of California and Anthem Blue Cross and 5 million clinical patient records from 150 participating partners. Manifest MedEx supports physicians, nurses, hospitals and health plans in sharing critical health information to ensure that patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. The California Integrated Data Exchange and Inland Empire Health Information Exchange merged to create Manifest Medex.
Inland Empire Health Plan incentives now available for regional hospitals that use the MX network to improve patient care – Inland Empire Health Plan is pledging $30 million in incentives to regional hospitals in 2018. If you are an eligible Inland Empire hospital, you can meet one of the five performance measures by using the MX health data exchange. Setup is easy, and you’ll gain access to real-time health data from the largest network in California.
Arizona – Health Current
Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Maine – HealthInfoNet
HealthInfoNet (@hinfonet) is a Maine-based, independent nonprofit designated by the State of Maine to operate Maine’s statewide health information exchange. The HIE links medical information from separate health care sites to create a single electronic patient health record. This record is accessible to a patient’s authorized health care providers to support treatment. HealthInfoNet provides a secure, standardized electronic system where health care providers can share important patient information, giving them the tools they need to make more informed treatment decisions, especially in an emergency.
HealthInfoNet awarded Robert Wood Johnson DASH grant to “CIC-START” Efforts to Improve Health through Data Sharing – HIN was awarded a planning grant from Data Across Sectors for Health (DASH), an initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This 6-month pilot initiative called CIC-START (Community Impact Contracts – Strategic, Timely, Actionable, Replicable, Targeted) aims to help local collaborations catalyze their efforts to share and use multi-sector data to improve community health.

Texas – Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (PHIX)
The Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (@PHIXNetwork) is a unique collaborative of major health care leaders in El Paso. PHIX pulls health information from the EHRs of all providers in the PHIX network and stores it in a centralized record so that patients’ health information in one place. PHIX provides HIPAA- compliant email and supports physician practices in optimizing their utilization of EHR technology.

Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)
HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.
Aetna Joins HealthShare Exchange – Aetna has become a member of HSX, permitting the national insurer to support more-informed care of its Medicare and Medicaid members in the Greater Philadelphia region. Aetna joins other health plans — including founding HSX members Independence Blue Cross, Amerihealth Caritas, and Health Partners Plans — in taking advantage of electronic receipt and transmission of information with medical providers when member patients receive care at healthcare facilities.

Ohio – CliniSync
CliniSync (@CliniSync) is a nonprofit, independent, private organization originally funded from HITECH and the ONC. The Ohio Health Information Partnership assisted providers in EHR adoption and the infrastructure for statewide HIE. It was named CliniSync, which signifies Clinical data synchronization.
CliniSync Connects – The January edition of the CliniSync Connects Newsletter includes year-end statistics showing growth in the organization, introduces new staff members, welcomes new practices and facilities while highlighting current members’ achievements and list a few important dates to mark on your calendars.

New York -Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY)
The SHIN-NY is the only HIE that provides universal access regardless of network or EHR system. New York State has made a significant investment in the SHIN-NY and in 2016 they set a goal of connecting 100% of the PPS across the state to the SHIN-NY. The eight RHIOs that make up the SHIN-NY are working directly with the PPS organizations to meet their needs.

HealthlinkNY Receives Perfect Score on their 2017 Qualified Entity Certification Audit – Additionally, HealthlinkNY stepped into the New Year with a perfect score on their Qualified Entity (QE) Certification Audit from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC)! Not only was HealthlinkNY able to achieve a perfect score but, due to the hard work and dedication of their staff, they submitted the certification documentation 2 months before the September 2017 deadline.
Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN)
The Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (@MiHIN) is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.
Michigan Medicine to Receive $2.5M for Enhancing Electronic Health Data Integrity – Michigan Medicine will receive approximately $2.5 million for completing a statewide incentive program to improve patient safety, enhance data integrity and reduce workflow. The program, known as Common Key Service (CKS), provides a consistent and reliable way to match patients with their electronic health data across multiple health care settings by assigning a unique identifier for every patient in the state of Michigan. CKS is sponsored by MiHIN and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM).

Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)
CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.
Health Information Exchange in Colorado Launches Medicity’s Community Interchange – Medicity, a provider in clinical data aggregation and interoperability, announced the launch of Community Interchange with one of its most long-standing partners, CORHIO, the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization. Building on the two companies’ well-established relationship, this technology creates a new path for placing comprehensive, usable data into the hands of health care clinicians and support staff in Colorado. As one of the first of many launches for Medicity Organize’s Community Interchange, this partnership signifies an important milestone in Medicity’s efforts to rapidly advance the next generation of interoperability.
UCHealth Integrated Network Utilizes Notifications from CORHIO to Improve Care Transitions-The UCHealth Integrated Network is a partnership among UCHealth, CU Medicine and locations across Colorado, and the physician-led ACO includes more than 2,400 actively participating providers and 10 hospitals. UCHealth Integrated Network participates in MSSP and actively coordinates care for more than 40,000 patients in the program, using CORHIO’s Notifications as a data tool.
Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)
Great Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.
NEW Virtual Update Meetings – The purpose of the Virtual Update Meetings is to effectively communicate what is new and developing at Great Lakes Health Connect. GLHC will offer two (2) half-hour webinar meetings per quarter. These Virtual Update Meetings will share timely and focused information with our strategic partners, users, and deployment and business leads across the state.
Kansas Health Information Network (KHIN)
KHIN (@khininfo) capitalizes on the unique strengths that local communities and regions bring to the HIE and ensure that individual regions or communities have the decision-making authority to address local or regional health-care initiatives.
KHIN and KDHE Collaborate to Distribute Over $4 Million In Support of Statewide HIE Participation – Striving to achieve a collaborative healthcare system in Kansas, KHIN and the Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE) distributed more than $4 Million in 2016-17. The funding encourages and enhances Kansas hospitals’ and providers’ participation in a statewide health information exchange (HIE). In 2017 $3,188,200 was distributed. Overall the amount distributed was $4,113,200.
Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)
Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.
