The Massachusetts Health Information HIway (Mass HIway)
The Massachusetts Health Information Highway (#MassHIway) offers doctors’ offices, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare organizations a way to securely and seamlessly transmit vital data electronically. The Mass HIway is open to all interested providers, hospitals, and other organizations within the healthcare community regardless of affiliation, location, or differences in technology.

Health Share Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX)
HealthShare Exchange (@HealthShareExch) is the greater Philadelphia region’s health information exchange for the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region. HSX is a unique, membership-dues-supported nonprofit formed by the Delaware Valley’s hospitals/health systems and healthcare insurers that links the electronic medical record systems of different hospital health systems, medical centers, and clinics — and the claims data of healthcare insurers — to make this information accessible at inpatient and outpatient points of care, including medical practice offices.
HSX Executive Director Marty Lupinetti Presents at Philadelphia Health IT Circle – the Philadelphia Health IT Circle, a networking, education, and advocacy group for the Philly digital health scene, recently hosted Martin Lupinetti for an interactive and informative crowdsourcing exercise. Martin gave an overview of HSX’s progress to date and the strategy going forward. The audience was asked to provide their thoughts on use cases for HSX, including but not limited to medical device interoperability. In July the PHIT Circle community will return with a prioritized list of use cases.
Ohio – CliniSync
CliniSync (@CliniSync) is a nonprofit, independent, private organization originally funded from HITECH and the ONC. The Ohio Health Information Partnership assisted providers in EHR adoption and the infrastructure for statewide HIE. It was named CliniSync, which signifies Clinical data synchronization.
New Pilot Program: EMTs will get Data AtTheScene in NE Ohio with LifeSource Health Inc. through CliniSync – LifeSource Health, Inc. has signed agreements that will give Emergency Medical Technicians access to a patient’s health information during an emergency run. LifeSource Health will begin operations in Ohio by deploying the company’s AtTheScene cloud based mobile platform for Emergency Medical Technicians. The agreements include an arrangement with the Ohio Health Information Partnership, which manages CliniSync, the state’s HIE that gathers, stores and provides medical data to agencies across the state.

Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN)
In October 2010 Wisconsin officially announced its intention to designate WISHIN (@WISHIN_Pulse), a not-for-profit organization formed by the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Medical Society, Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality, and Wisconsin Health Information Organization, as the State-designated entity to govern statewide HIE. DE on October 25, 2010. WISHIN is responsible for implementing Wisconsin’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The plan requires multi-stakeholder collaboration and emphasizes ongoing development of government and policy structures.
Grant Extends WISHIN’s Reach to Milwaukee-Area Safety-Net Clinics – Eight safety-net clinics in the Milwaukee area are upgrading clinical data-sharing capabilities thanks to a grant from the Greater Milwaukee Business Foundation on Health to WISHIN. The grant, facilitated by the Milwaukee Health Care Partnership, a public/private consortium, will provide two-year subscriptions to all services offered by WISHIN, and fund one-time implementation fees for those clinics that are new WISHIN participants.The GMBFH grant will enable the clinics to fully participate in the statewide health information exchange, improve care coordination and better serve their patients.
Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN)
Delaware Health Information Network’s (@DHIN_HIE) roots reach back to 1997 when the Delaware General Assembly enacted the organization as a public/private partnership. The objective was, and remains today, to advance the creation of a statewide health information network that addresses the state’s needs for timely, reliable and relevant health care information. In 2007, DHIN “went live” – meaning it became the first operational statewide health information exchange in the nation.

Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO)
CORHIO (@CORHIO) manages one of the country’s largest and most successful health information exchange networks and works to improve healthcare through the use of information technology and data exchange.
Congratulations, CORHIO! 10,000 Users Now on the CORHIO Health Information Exchange Network – CORHIO has reached a major milestone in usage by the community. The network is now used by 10,000 physicians, nurses, care managers, office staff, administrators, behavioral health providers, emergency department personnel, and more to access real-time patient health information. More than 22 million queries have been made in the CORHIO HIE web portal PatientCare 360. Users query laboratory and pathology test results, admission, discharge, and transfer data from hospitals, transcription notes, care summary documents and more.
Michigan – Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC)
Great Lakes Health Connect (@GLHC_HIE) is one of the largest and most successful Health Information Exchanges in the country and is growing rapidly. GLHC is committed to creating care-connected communities across Michigan. Their vision is to enhance patient experience, improve health outcomes, and reduce costs across the continuum of care.
GLHC Summit Series Registration is Open – GLHC is the leading provider of health information exchange services in Michigan. They take great pride in their role as a statewide, non-profit resource; facilitating the delivery of critical patient data where and when it’s needed most. Arizona – Health Current
Health Current (@AZHealthCurrent), is a partner that gives providers the information they need to make better clinical decisions and keep people healthy. The HIE believes more complete information is more meaningful. It makes healthcare transformation possible. And Health Current is central to this progress, integrating information technology and care delivery to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
AzHeC Rebrands as Health Current – AzHeC, a statewide nonprofit that has advanced health information technology and exchange in the state since 2007 is rebranding and launching the new name and brand of Health Current. The rebranding change reflects the growth, progress and potential of Arizona’s HIE, according to CEO, Melissa Kotrys. “We have seen incredible growth recently as healthcare providers are being challenged to produce better care and outcomes, with access to more complete patient information one of their most critical needs,” Kotrys said. “Today Health Current is the health information exchange that helps our partners transform care by bringing together communities and information across Arizona.”

Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE)
Indiana Health Information Exchange (@IndianaHIE) operates the nation’s largest health information exchange, providing a secure, robust and interoperable health information technology network that connects over 150 hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, community health clinics and other healthcare providers.

South Dakota Health Link
South Dakota Health Link (@SDHealthLink) connects hospitals, federally qualified health centers, primary care providers, specialists, labs and pharmacies as well as public health and other state agencies. It’s a one-of-a-kind network that allows secure consultations and the sharing of test results with other providers for better patient outcomes. Health Link is provided by the South Dakota Department of Health and guided by an active advisory council working toward a common goal: Foster the sharing of information through a secure platform to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of care provided to all citizens.
