Medicare Shared Savings Program Saves Medicare More Than $1.8 Billion
CMS announced that the Medicare Shared Savings Program saved money for Medicare while continuing to support high-quality care. Specifically, the program saved Medicare $1.8 billion in 2022 compared to spending targets for the year.
Don’t Miss the Deadline to Submit a Hardship Exception Application
On May 1, 2023, CMS opened the Hardship Exception application period for eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals that participated in the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program in calendar year 2022. The deadline for CAHs to submit a Hardship Exception application is September 1, 2023.
