To help eligible professionals, eligible hospitals, and critical access hospitals successfully participate in the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs in 2016, CMS has posted new resources on the CMS EHR Incentive Programs website.
CMS is extending the application deadline for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program hardship exception process that reduces burden on clinicians, hospitals, and critical access hospitals (CAHs). The new deadline for Eligible Professionals, Eligible Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals is July 1, 2016.
CMS has recently updated two FAQs that provide information on: hospital-based eligible professionals’ eligibility to receive incentive payments from the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, and eligible hospitals’ requirements for meeting the specialized registry objective.
