CMS shut down the Medicare & Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System to correct an error that is preventing eligible professionals (EPs) from claiming an exclusion for Measure 1 of the Patient Electronic Access Objective (referred to as 8A in the attestation system).

Deadline July 1 for hardship exception to avoid payment adjustments for eligible professionals that did not successfully participate in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program in 2014 and will begin on January 1, 2016.
CMS is updating select electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) that eligible professionals and eligible hospitals will electronically report in 2016. These versions of the measures were posted on CMS’ website on May 1, 2015 for the annual update of the 2014 measure set.
Eligible professionals now have until 11:59 pm ET on March 20, 2015, to attest to meaningful use for the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program 2014 reporting year.
If you are an eligible professional participating in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program, you have until February 28, 2015 to attest to demonstrating meaningful use of the data collected during your EHR reporting period for the 2014 calendar year.
