On the 6th Day of our 12 Days of Christmas Posts, we turn our attention to a gaggle of reports that made health IT news in the latter part of the year. Three of the reports listed are from the ONC, focusing on the current and future landscape of health IT technology.

The highly anticipated final recommendations from the JASON task force arrived on Wednesday afternoon. JASON, a group of independent scientists who advise the federal government, issued a November 2013 report to Health and Human Services, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and the Agency for Health Research and Quality on the matter of interoperability.
On October 15, 2014 the ONC convened the first joint meeting of the Health Information Technology Policy and Standards Committees. We spent the day discussing interoperability in the health information ecosystem.
