AHIMA Announces 2023 Board President/Chair, New Board Members
Members of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) (@AHIMAResources) elected Jennifer Mueller, MBA, RHIA, SHIMSS, FACHE, FAHIMA, as president/chair of the 2023 Board of Directors. Her one-year term began on January 1. In addition to Mueller’s appointment, AHIMA members selected a president/chair-elect, three new members of the Board of Directors (each of whom will serve a three-year term), and a speaker-elect of the House of Delegates.
DirectTrust Seeking Nominations for New Board Directors
DirectTrust™ (@DirectTrustorg), a non-profit healthcare industry alliance created to support secure, identity-verified electronic exchanges of protected health information, announced a call for nominations for new Board Directors. Nominees for a three-year term commencing June 2023 must be (or become) and remain a member in good standing of DirectTrust. They are sought from various industry groups representative of DirectTrust’s membership categories.

Electronic Health Record Association Announces FY23 Leadership and Priorities

ATA Policy Councel Announces New Chair, Three New Members
As telehealth policy remains a top priority, the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) (@AmericanTelemed) is pleased to announce the new chair of the ATA Policy Council, Mary Griskewicz, MS, FHIMSS, director of federal policy, Cigna, along with three new Policy Council members. The ATA Policy Council helps the ATA chart a path forward on the important policy questions now facing our industry, and inspired by the ATA’s Policy Principles, which provide a clear roadmap and vision for federal and state telehealth policy that is technology, modality and site neutral.

AAFP Names 2022–2023 Board of Directors
The American Academy of Family Physicians (@aafp) held elections for its board of directors at its annual Congress of Delegates, the organization’s governing body. Members of the board of directors advocate on behalf of family physicians and patients nationwide to inspire positive change in the U.S. health care system. The AAFP represents 127,600 physicians and medical students. See the list.
AHA announces new trustees for 2023
The AHA (@ahahospitals) has elected six new members to its Board of Trustees for three-year terms beginning Jan. 1. The incoming members are: Schonay Barnett-Jones, trustee at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.; Victoria Bayless, CEO of Luminis Health in Annapolis, Md.; Mary Ann Fuchs, vice president of patient care and system chief nurse executive for Duke University Health System in Durham, N.C.; Lori J. Morgan, M.D., president and CEO of Huntington Health in Pasadena, Calif.; Stephen Purves, president and CEO of Valleywise Health in Phoenix; and Terika Richardson, chief operating officer of Ardent Health Services in Nashville. In addition, Russ Gronewold, president and CEO of Bryan Health in Lincoln, Neb., who filled a board vacancy last year, was named to a full term on the board and chair of Regional Policy Board 6.

NAACOS Announces 2023 Board of Directors and Committee Members
The National Association of ACOs (NAACOS) (@NAACOSnews) announces its 2023 Board of Directors as the organization grows in size and prominence and accountable care becomes an increasingly critical part of how health care is paid for and delivered. The Board of Directors helps set NAACOS’ advocacy agenda and member services for its ACO members and its work is important as the Biden administration works to implement its publicly stated goal to have all traditional Medicare beneficiaries in care relationships with providers who are accountable for their quality and total cost of care by 2030. The 2023 Board consists of ten seats for single ACOs, six seats for organizations with multiple ACOs, one private payer ACO seat, and the CEO, Clif Gaus. An election was held in the fall for five open single-ACO representative seats and two open multi-ACO representative seats with the following result.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials Announces Two New Board of Directors
