AHRMM Announces New Chair-Elect, Board Members
The AHA’s (@ahahospitals) Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management has elected Jimmy Chung, M.D., associate vice president, perioperative portfolio at Providence St. Joseph Health, as chair-elect of its 2021 board. The professional membership group also elected as provider representatives on the board Amanda Chawla, vice president of supply chain for Stanford Hospital, Stanford Children’s Health and Stanford-Valley Care; Lori Pilla, system vice president and chief supply chain officer at Mercy Health; and Curtis Lancaster, vice president of supply chain at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Randy Bradley, executive vice president of digital transformation for life sciences at Bio Supply Management Alliance, was elected an affiliate representative on the board.
6 Named Distinguished Fellows of the American College of Medical Informatics
The American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI) have named six inaugural Distinguished Fellows who will be presented with their awards at ceremonies during the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) (@AMIAinformatics) 2020 Virtual Annual Symposium. This new recognition program aims to recognize senior Fellows who have made significant and sustained contributions to ACMI in areas such as policy formulation, the practice of informatics, and applied research.
SHIEC Board Announces Appointment Of Lisa Bari As Interim CEO
The Board of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) (@SHIEClive) has announced the appointment of Lisa Bari as Interim CEO for SHIEC while a national search for a permanent CEO is conducted. Kelly Hoover Thompson is no longer with the organization. SHIEC also announced the election of new members to the Board.
Devin Jopp Named CEO of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) (@APIC) announced that Devin Jopp, EdD, MS, has been named CEO, effective December 7, 2020. Jopp brings to APIC more than two decades of association leadership with a wide array of experience and accomplishments from across the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.
MGMA Adds New Vice President of Marketing to Executive Team
Victoria Stone has joined the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) (@MGMA) as its vice president of marketing. In her new role, Stone is responsible for defining and guiding the association’s overall marketing and communications strategy, ensuring new and consistent business growth for the organization and enhancing brand awareness. She will oversee all of the association’s marketing and digital services, focusing specifically on public relations, traditional marketing and research.
