Leaving Greenway Health after Eleven Years
If you don’t know Justin Barnes you must be new to the Health IT space. He is a well-known health IT thought leader and policy wonk. You might even know him as @HITadvisor on Twitter. He will be leaving his VP position at Greenway Health at the end of this month where he managed Greenway’s Industry, Government and International Affairs. His resume is filled with board positions, advisory positions, and appointments. He has addressed and testified before Congress many times in his career. And he has even been in the Army. For a busy guy he always has time to discuss the issues. He is very passionate about the future of healthcare in both the IT and health space and is excited to take his involvement to the next level.
I spoke to Justin this morning and he tells me his future has many opportunities in it ranging from patient engagement, healthcare innovation startups, to keeping his finger in policy. He even said he was not ruling out non health IT ventures either. But don’t look for him to be taking the traditional consultant role with any big firm. We even discussed him working with us in doing audio interviews discussing the newest innovations in healthcare and just what is going to get us to that next level of universal and connected care.
We wish him good luck in all his new ventures. Stay tuned.
