DHHS, Nevada State Medical Association and Orion Healthâ„¢ Partner to Offer NV DIRECT Secure Messaging for Health Information Exchange (HIE)

CARSON CITY, NV – June 2013 – The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced that NV DIRECT is now available for health care providers. NV DIRECT is a secure, encrypted web-based communication system for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other clinical staff to directly share protected health information (PHI) with known, trusted recipients. It does not require participants to have an electronic health record or to purchase additional software. The only requirement is a connection to the Internet. Washington Regional Medical System Partners with InteliChart to Enhance HIE Across Its Network

CHARLOTTE, NC – Jun 2013 – Platform to support care coordination through seamless integration of patient-centric data from disparate systems. Leading healthcare information technology provider InteliChart, Inc. announced the selection of both InteliChart Patient Portal and InteliChart Health Information Exchange (HIE) by Washington Regional Medical System (WRMS). With the patient portal and HIE, WRMS will be positioned to acquire, aggregate and standardize patient information gathered from the patient portal and the health system’s disparate electronic health records (EHRs), and collect it into one patient health record. North Dakota Health Information Network Selects Orion Health’s HIE Platform to Power Statewide Health Information Exchange

SANTA MONICA, CA – June 2013 -Orion Health, the leader in eHealth technology, and the North Dakota Health Information Network (NDHIN) announced that NDHIN has selected Orion Health HIE to power North Dakota’s statewide health information exchange (HIE). Healtheway Announces Founding Members for Groundbreaking Public/Private Health IT Exchange

MCCLEAN, VA – June 2013 – Healtheway, the non-profit, public-private partnership that operationally supports the eHealth Exchange (formerly known as the Nationwide Health Information Network Exchange) today announced its nine founding organizations. The organizations are influential representatives from across the healthcare spectrum. They will supplement the involvement of the federal government that has coalesced around the eHealth Exchange. Georgia Department of Community Health Selects Truven Health Analytics to Develop Statewide Health Information Exchange

ANN ARBOR, MI – June 2013 -The Georgia Department of Community Health announced today that it has selected Truven Health Analytics as their partner to build and implement a statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE), the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN).

The GaHIN exchange will utilize Truven Health to provide clinicians throughout the state with a longitudinal patient history at the point of care by securely capturing real-time clinical and administrative data from electronic medical records, healthcare claims, CMS and other sources.
