Winners to share $20,000 in prize money for best concepts and prototype using Zynx clinical content
Zynx Healthâ„¢ (@zynxhealth), a market leader in providing evidence- and experience-based clinical improvement solutions, announced details of its two-phase Innovation Challenge Contest to encourage the exploration of new use cases that leverage Zynx clinical content to enhance the delivery of patient care and reduce clinical and financial variation. Zynx Health will award a total of $20,000 in prize money to the teams with the best concepts and prototype.
“Our evidence-based clinical content is proven to drive better clinical decision making,” said Jim Connolly, senior vice president of product development for Zynx Health. “With the introduction of our FHIR-enabled API, we’ve made it easier for third-party solution developers and providers to consume our evidence-based clinical content. By sponsoring this challenge, we can help support the solutions to the problems other healthcare technology companies are tackling, and make our clinical content even more valuable. This may include adding additional meta-data and codes to further support interoperability and other evidence-based data to support our mission of healthier lives for all.”
Phase 1 of the Innovation Challenge Contest is open through Dec. 1, 2017. Entries will be judged based on their ability to:
- Enhance the delivery of patient care
- Reduce clinical or financial variation
- Help meet a regulatory requirement
- Work with typical clinical workflows and be interoperable with the typical EHR system
Zynx Health will award Phase 1 prize money to the top four teams as follows: first place, $5,000; second place, $3,000; third place, $2,000; fourth place, $1,000. These four teams then become eligible to expand on their winning concept by creating a prototype for the Phase 2 challenge. A single Phase 2 winner will receive a cash awarded of $9,000.
